What you will do

Teach, assess, communicate, and grow.

Provide virtual instruction

Lead one-on-one tutoring sessions for literacy and math learners in Canada and the U.S. using the Koala GO platform.

Monitor student progress

Assess student growth each month using standardized measures and use that information to adjust instruction.

Communicate clearly

Share useful updates with parents and teachers, and send appropriate materials home so learning can continue between sessions.

Keep refining your craft

Participate in training and professional development that deepens your understanding of evidence-based teaching methods.

This role is a strong fit for educators who can meet students with warmth while teaching with structure and precision.

Teaching strengths

  • One to three years of classroom, teaching, or tutoring experience
  • Post-secondary education, with a Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Patience and compassion for struggling and neurodivergent students
  • Ability to adapt your teaching to each student
  • Strong written and spoken English, with warm communication skills

Assessment and literacy

  • Experience with standardized assessments such as DIBELS, Acadience, or easyCBM
  • Interest in Science of Reading aligned instruction
  • Willingness to train in a Speech-to-Print program such as Sounds Write or EBLI
  • Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
